Negotiation Boehner Style
Goes like this:
I won’t shoot the hostage today. I will give you six extra weeks to meet my demands. Then I’ll shoot the hostage.
Seriously. That’s it.
What is the point of fudging around with the debt ceiling for six measly weeks. To allow “negotiations”? Negotiate what?
It turns out to the negotiation is restricted to the Republican wish list of stuff they want axed. It’s still hostage taking, and it’s still not negotiation.
Meanwhile, apparently, the other hostage – the government shut down – will remain tied up with a gun to its head. For six weeks? Boehner is not offering anything.
Let’s watch the media fall for it as if it were a real offer …
