Yes, that’s right: the main stream media was too weak kneed to stomach the fight, and George Bush [who famously kow-tows to the press] has been forced to retreat. In other words America was stabbed in the back by those liberal media types who refused to report the good news, but chose intead to focus on silly, minor stuff like the mounting numbers of dead, or the civil war that appears to be going on.

We didn’t lose the Iraq war, the media did.

That would be the same media that did all that terrific post invasion planning; or that wonderful reconstruction work; or gave those excellent speeches about staying the course; or hid from view the returning body bags; or …
