Bush Blames Al Qaeda

Talk about Alice in Wonderland. I’ve always said that Bush is clueless, and many of you have told me that that’s just my liberal bias, but this surely both takes the cake and proves my point. The man’s on a different planet: Bush Blames Al Qaeda for Wave of Iraq Violence

Everyone else is talking about the chaos, the ‘failed state’, the sectarian violence, the growing influence of Iran, the diabolical daily mayhem … and our glorious leader? No. Its those nasty Al Qaeda people. If only they’d go away and leave those nice Iraqis alone all this nonsense would end and everything would be as nice as … well as nice as Crawford on a sunny day.

Really?

Lewis Carroll already wrote this story. Our problem is that we fell down the rabbit hole when Bush arrived in Washington.

When will the nightmare end?

ps: Isn’t it somehow ironic that Bush is relying on Syria and Iran to help sort out the mess he made in Iraq. Forgive me for pointing this out: doesn’t that give them more influence? Aren’t they part of the “Axis of evil”? Looks like Bush’s foreign policy has succeeded in boosting Iran and humiliating America. How does he spin that one? Or does he just hope we don’t notice?
