Numbers Matter: Guns and Terrorism

Numbers matter. Take these for instance:

In the last decade about 40 Americans have died as a result of terrorism

During that same period about 280,000 Americans have died as a result of gun violence.

Absurd.

The debates, to the extent that it can be called that, about both terrorism and guns is radically out of proportion  to the facts.

This is really absurd, but that’s how exceptional America has become.
