Yellen To Washington

Just a very brief comment: I like the appointment of Janet Yellen to replace the retiring Don Kohn as Vice Chairman of the Fed. She is a well respected economist, a veteran of Washington, she has managed the San Fransisco fed to a position of policy and analytical prominence, and she is a voice of reason amongst the deficit hawks. Her appointment, once confirmed by the Senate, will balance the Fed and provide an exceptional back-up to Bernanke.

A great choice.
