John Lennon – Agitator

A little holiday relief for you all at the New York Times. It seems that the FBI has finally released it files on John Lennon, that well known anti-American agitator. Read about it here: The Lede – Breaking News

What can you say other than these people are insane? The notion that the files could not be released becasue their content might provoke retaliation by a foreign power is so absurd that I find it difficult it wasn’t conceived as some sort of frat party prank that escalated out of control. How on earth can anyone take these idiots seriously? It is their power to disrupt and ruin lives that enables them to make otherwise rational people cower and not stand up to them.

Secret police the world over are the same. Paranoid, self-justifying, and completely inimicable to liberty. No wonder the FBI fights against becoming more open. What other stupidity is hidden in their vaults?
