Iraq Death Toll

Let’s not dwell too much on the folly of the rubbish the Bush administration puts out about how the Iraqi situation is improving. They are lying. It may well be that the insurgency is its last days [I don’t think so!], but it has merely been replaced by civil war. The New York Times reports that the United Nations has calculated the recent death toll. Here is the story: U.N. Estimates Nearly 6,000 Iraqi Civilians Died in 2 Months

Peace is not coming soon in Iraq. The festering and the slaughter will continue. Bush and America with him has failed so far, and there is scant evidence that success is looming on the horizon. And now Iran and Syria have stirred up trouble on Israel’s borders. Why now? Because the US is over extended in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This blood, spilled in Iraq, is on George Bush’s hands.
