Flag Burning

This is one of the most preposterous pieces of nonsense in the country’s history. The US Senate, in a splendid display of getting its priorities right, is devoting valuable time to debating the ridiculous notion that the constitution should be amended to include an anti-flag burning clause. The New York Times notes this waste of time here: Senate Debates Flag Bill

This effort is despite the fact that there have been no reported flag burning incidents, in the US, for nearly thirty years. So this is not only stupid and a clear restriction on the freedom of speech, but it is not even timely! How low can they go? How utterly clownlike does Frist look? Apparently Gay Marriage, Flag Burning, and Immigration are a whole lot more pressing than burgeoning deficits, the price of gasoline, or Iraq [not to mention North Korea or Iran!].

Fire the lot of them, they are blatant imbeciles.
