Bush Spying on the Media

If I read this correctly, Brian Ross at ABC is saying the administration is spying on the media in order to track down leaks: The Blotter

I wonder if anyone really cares about the media, but surely we should all care about the way in which this administration spies on anyone who pokes holes in its credibility. Is this kind of thing not worth a Constitutional debate? If, as I assume, most people think it’s OK to snoop domestically because “security concerns” warrant it [pun intended!], then why bother with the cumbersome nonsense of a constitution? The first time in its history that the US is threatened domestically and it throws overboard its so-called founding document.

That’s pathetic. Clearly it’s not worth the paper it’s written on if it is so easily dispensed with in times of supposed “crisis”. Let me know if you care. Anyone?
