Bush Says U.S. Spying Is Not Widespread

The wiretapping of domestic phone calls by the NSA attracted more attention in the last couple of days because USA Today published a story suggesting that the NSA has established a goal of building a database of all calls made within the US. That would be a scandalous violation of what rights may remain to us all after the Bush regime has ridden roughshod over the Constitution. There’s not much to add other than to ask you all the question: do we believe Bush when he says the program is limited and focused only on known Al Qaeda operatives?

Methinks he’s cried wolf just a few too many times! He’s lying again.
