Afghan to Execute Convert

This is why all religions are a scourge. The potential execution of a convert away from Islam to Christianity and the existence of religious fanatics who think shooting abortion doctors is morally legitimate are examples of the gathering New Dark Ages. And this is why we “liberated” Afghanistan?

The history of religions East and West is littered with examples of self-righteous extremists who butcher and maim all in the name of superstition. And everyone naturally has God on their side. This latter folly led Sir John Collings Squire to write these words during World War I:

“God heard the embattled nations sing and shout
‘Gott strafe England!’ and ‘God save the King!’
‘God this, God that, and God the other thing’
‘Good God!’ said God, ‘I’ve got my work cut out!'”
